Marcus D. Holman, Sr.
Driven by a profound love for God and family, Marcus D. Holman has been married to his wife, Jaime Holman, for 25 years. Together, they have four children: Vinchelle, Marcayla, Marcus Jr., and Faith, who remain his core support. This devotion is encapsulated in Acts 20:24: “But none of these things move me, nor do I count my life dear to myself, that I may finish my course with joy and testify of the gospel of the grace of God.” Spending time with his family is his greatest joy.
Pastor Holman serves as the Executive Pastor at The Church at Bethel’s Family, under the leadership of Walter August, Jr. His background includes roles as a counselor at the International Institute for Christian Counseling, and in business banking and financial advising at Chase Bank and Northwestern Mutual. As the author of "Blessed Beyond Borders," the first of many publications, and numerous training materials, his leadership skills establish him as a leader in international missions and pastoral development. Pastor Holman is a sought-after entrepreneurial leader in counseling and Christian education, as well as in church development and training.
Previously, he led Bethel’s Global Reach as President | CEO for 9 years, during which he spearheaded over 115 international missions trips involving over 5,000 missionaries. A pastor, Christian counselor, and Biblical studies expert with over 22 years of experience in worldwide ministry, he has trained multiple leaders in several fields. His education includes studies at Texas Southern University, College of Biblical Studies, and Rice University’s Glasscock School of Philanthropic Studies. He recently received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Alliance Theological Seminary.
Pastor Holman’s honors include a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, Honor of Recognition from the Texas Senate, City of Houston Philanthropic Awards, and Presidential Service Volunteer Awards. With an ability to organize and build leading initiatives, and develop new and dynamic community services in both domestic and international contexts across multiple fields, Pastor Holman consistently surpasses expectations with proven and effective expertise. Focusing on education, counseling, and international outreach, Pastor Holman has planted churches and trained pastors on several continents, establishing himself as an educated, skilled, and knowledgeable Christian minister.
With a track record of achievement and a deep knowledge of both the education and counseling fields, Pastor Holman brings together a wide-ranging body of knowledge and a peerless work ethic. His ministry has taken him to locations around the world, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Haiti, India, El Salvador, United Arab Emirates, England, Czech Republic, Angola, South Africa, Amsterdam, Paris, Jerusalem, Israel, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Belize, Honduras, Bahamas, South America, St. Lucia, Guatemala, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and various states within the U.S. The Elevate Leadership Conference has been instrumental in training pastors and leaders in several different countries.
In 2020, Pastor Holman launched Studio B The Podcast to inform and empower listeners with knowledge to help them make informed decisions. He currently has 75K listeners and counting.
In 2024, God placed a new assignment of leading One Church at True Light. He is passionate about leading people to Christ, developing men to be the best version of a godly man. He desires to see families and marriages healed and restored for the glory of God. He believes that prayer should be a priority, that we should build intentional authentic relationships, and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. His motto is Reaching the Lost and Teaching the Found.
